Rengas Tiger (also known as Borneo Rosewood) has a medium to coarse texture and a straight to interlocked grain, which can yield a striped figure. The wood finishes well and has a lustrous quality.
Rengas Tiger is known for having an irritating chemical which can cause dermatitis. Generally, the irritant effect from this chemical in the wood is greatly diminished or eliminated after drying. It is strongly suggested that anyone working with Rengas Tiger use caution and empasize use of proper protection.
