Peruvian Walnut Juglans, neotropica
Peruvian Walnut is a rich medium to dark brown wood from the same family as North American Walnut and is similar in appearance. Offered in a select grade without the cream colored sap wood so prevalent in N. American Walnut, Peruvian Walnut is more uniformly colored. The wood works well, cutting cleanly with hand and machine tools and taking an excellent finish.
Typical Uses: Decorative veneers, furniture, cabinet work, interior finish, gun stocks, and other applications similar to North American black walnut.
