Karri Eucalyptus diversicolor
Karri wood is a beautiful mahogany color, lighter in color than Jarrah. It is used extensively in the building industry, particularly in roofs due to the length and uninterrupted knot-free nature of the trunk. Karri has the tendency to dull making sanding and working with edged tools a problem. Karri has a good quality polish once it's sanded. Pre-boring is required for nailing, although glue holds well on Karri.
