Sydney Blue Gum Eucalyptus rostrata

Sydney Blue Gum is also known as Red River Gum and Queensland Blue Gumwood. The wood varies in color from pink to red, and is dependent on the age and location of the tree. Interlocked grain and gum pockets may make the wood difficult to work. The trade off is with the density and curly figure which make for a fine, glass-smooth finish.
