Sycamore Platanus occidentalis

Sycamore is whiteish to light yellow with some reddish brown. The grain is usually interlocked and irregular. Quartersawn surfaces are reported to exhibit an attractive mottled texture. Large crowded, brown rays contrast with white wood tissue in background to add to the beauty of Sycamore.

Typical Uses: Furniture, cabinets, veneer, jewelry boxes
