Striped Ebony Diospyrus sp.

The deep black background of Striped Ebony is host to a number of straight or swirling lines, white to light brown in color. Lines are irregular, no particular pattern, which makes Striped Ebony pieces so unique. Striped Ebony is a very dense, hard wood that is very fine textured. It takes glue well and polishes to an excellent glass-like finish.
