Sheoak has very pronounced medullary rays which give it an outstanding flecked appearance. It polishes well due to a fine grain and hardness. The ’busy’ appearance of Sheoak timber makes large furniture items and applications such as floors very prominent and too overpowering for many people. An excellent timber for design features such as door panels, inlay, or smaller sections of design projects. Generally available in very small quantities in the boutique market.
