The shipping method we use depends on the quantity and dimensions of you order. We strive to package and ship your order in the quickest and most cost effective method.
Small Orders and Plus Packs are shipped by FedEx Ground.
Approx. 20-25 Bdft is equal to the Fed Ex maximum of 70 lb bundles.
Large Orders, 250 BDFT packs and Rough Plus Packs are shipped by Con-Way Express.
Usually an order over 3 FedEx bundles is considered a truck shipment.
IN SUMMARY;
The cost of both types of shipping is based on the zip code of where it is going to be shipped to and the weight of the total order. To calculate the weight of the shipment you take the total board footage and multiply it by 4, for domestic species and 6 for exotic species. All truck shipments should add in 45 lbs for the weight of the skid.
All lumber is sold on Net Tally basis. This means when you buy 100 bdft you receive 100 bdft (measurements after kiln drying). Although, you may order 10 bdft and you may actually receive and be billed for a little less or a little more depending on the measurements of the lumber we have on hand. The board will not be cut to make it exactly the board footage that you want.
Your shipping charges are calculated for you on both of these when you place your online order at checkout.
Orders are filled in the order they are taken. An order is usually ready for shipment within 5-7 days of the date order was placed.
Express shipments are available, but you must call to make arrangements for this and an extra charge of $20.00 to $50.00 will be added to your bill. The price depends on the size of the order.
We will ship you boards at least 3” wide and ranges from 5’ – 8’ in length, with the exception of some of our lumber packs.
